Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of hydraulic and electrical systems within a wood processing/lamination environment.
Ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
Developing and implementing maintenance programs, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all facility equipment.
Developing and implementing maintenance strategies to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.
Performing general maintenance work to prevent failures and malfunctions.
Analyzing repair requests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
Performing installations, assembly, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.
Maintaining building maintenance and upkeep, including commercial electrical and plumbing systems.
Ensuring an adequate stock of maintenance materials and equipment to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
Maintaining accurate records of daily maintenance activities and completed work.
Operating maintenance equipment safely to prevent accidents and maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
Performing maintenance tasks based on pictures, blueprints, written descriptions, and oral instructions from supervisors.
Ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other safety and environmental regulations.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and facility operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
Extensive experience in maintenance management with expertise in hydraulic and electrical systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
General computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is preferred.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
