Member of the Nucor Steel leadership team responsible for successfully leading long term profitable contributions to Nucor
Responsible for the division’s environmental strategy with a focus on building relationships with operations/maintenance/administrative departments and continuous cost reduction.
Support Nucor’s strategy in growing enterprise sustainability initiatives
Solid understanding of environmental compliance, permitting and serve as a liaison for State and Federal environmental agencies
Oversees periodic review and revision of environmental management systems, standards, and procedures
Operational oversight of pollution control equipment (i.e. scrubbers, baghouses, etc.), wastewater treatment plants, and water systems
Advises leadership team on Environmental objectives, targets, and metrics
Support Political and Community Outreach

3+ years of environmental compliance experience
3+ years of environmental leadership experience including experience managing teams
Previous steelmaking or heavy industry environmental compliance experience including permitting.
ISO 14001 or environmental management system experience
4-year degree in engineering or related environmental, safety or health field.
Registered environmental credentials and/or professional engineering license.
