About this role
Role Overview
Provide leadership and hands-on analytic support to the Home Specialty & Merchant Experience teams within H&A Platform while leading the India analytics team to design, develop, implement and monitor analytic solutions catering to business priorities and propose new analytic solutions to optimize business value and dealer/customer experience.
Handle day to day analytic requests for Home Specialty clients & Merchant Experience team, and the prioritization of projects with US Analytics team and stakeholders, lead from a strategic perspective.
Lead strategic/complex analytics projects that are priorities for H&A platform from beginning to end, including ideation, data mining, strategy formulation, and presentation of results and recommendations.
Co-own development of the analytic agenda and roadmap with US counterpart and deliver on portfolio goals.
Be a hands-on leader and willing to roll up sleeves to lead projects, perform data analysis as well as provide strategic thought leadership to more junior analysts.
Together with US analytics teams, foster strong partnership and engagement with both the internal Synchrony business and client teams.
Participate in strategy sessions with Cross Functional stakeholders to drive analytics in support of business goals.
Participate in working sessions/communicate key findings to stakeholders and clients.
Manage, coach and develop a team of 4 analytics professionals dedicated to the Home Specialty & Merchant Experience Team.
Formulate strategy and action plan to recruit, retain and develop analytic talent.
Develop & apply advanced analytics to optimize business outcomes.
Share learnings and capabilities with broader analytics community and play an instrumental role in developing use cases to showcase IAH capabilities.
Partner with Analytics CoE teams to drive best practices and centralized analytic capabilities across clients.
Proactively manage all analytic projects with weekly update on timeline, status, and resource allocation; Ensure delivery of all BAU and strategic projects based on business demand and requirements.
Partner with Digital and Journey Analytics teams to develop and implement analytic solutions to improve customer experience across different channels.
Drive internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects, as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in building analytics to drive strategy with positive outcomes and measuring impact
Minimum 6 years of experience in managing people, developing talent, providing & receiving constructive feedback
Minimum 6 years of hands-on SQL and SAS programming experience with an ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data sets
Strong credit card P&L expertise, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
Hands-on analytical skills, including coding, Tableau, and working with diverse data sources (Oracle DB, EDL, etc.).
Familiarity with statistical methods and tools such as decision trees, regression, segmentation, NLP, and GPT is essential.
Advanced development of dashboards and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Birst
Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, analytic tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred.
Strong at managing and coordinating progress across multiple large projects simultaneously.
People leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
Ability to work in matrix organization, make and enable data driven decisions.
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and multiple initiatives.
Ability to develop executable strategies, articulate a clear vision, and deliver results.
Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills.
