Oversee the daily operations of the Regional Medical Records Team
Guide the team’s work with a focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability
Ensure all medical record processes meet PACE laws, rules, and regulatory requirements
Monitor performance through audits and keep team practices aligned with current industry standards
Maintain a documented and organized system, accessible for other professionals
Provide guidance and training to staff regarding medical record issues
Participate in surveys and assist in development of a plan of correction for department deficiencies when necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or related field OR an Associate’s degree in RHIT (or related field) with 3–5 years of medical records experience
3–5 years of supervisory experience, including managing remote staff
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and related technology
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email/calendar systems
Experience with electronic medical records required; EPIC preferred
