Role Overview
Serves as the primary claims point of contact for high-net-worth personal lines clients.
Provides proactive guidance throughout the full claims lifecycle, from first notice of loss through resolution and recovery.
Advocates on behalf of clients with carriers and adjusters to ensure fair, timely, and accurate claim handling.
Reviews coverage, endorsements, and policy terms to support claim strategy and client education.
Assists clients with complex or sensitive claims involving high-value homes, scheduled property, fine art, jewelry, collectibles, watercraft, and specialty risks.
Delivers a concierge-level service experience with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
Communicates clearly and proactively with clients regarding claim status, expectations, and next steps.
Coordinates vendors, experts, and restoration services as needed to support claim resolution.
Supports clients during catastrophic or emotionally charged loss events with confidence and care.
Partners closely with Personal Lines Risk Advisors, Account Managers, and Risk Consultants to align claims activity with overall client strategy.
Identifies trends, coverage gaps, or risk mitigation opportunities arising from claims activity and shares insights with service teams.
Supports renewal and stewardship efforts by providing claims summaries and insights as requested.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all claim activity within agency management systems.
Ensures compliance with carrier guidelines, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Supports audits and quality reviews related to claims handling and documentation.
Performs other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience handling high value, complex high net worth personal lines claims, including luxury homes, secondary residences, and specialty assets.
A Property & Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
Demonstrated expertise in High Net Worth or Private Client insurance programs and policy forms.
Deep expertise in property insurance, liability coverage, and insurance law.
Working knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings and underwriting procedures.
Strong background in end to end claims oversight, from first notice of loss through settlement and resolution.
Experience serving as a client advocate, providing high touch, consultative support to affluent individuals or family offices.
Ability to interpret and explain complex coverage positions clearly and confidently to clients and stakeholders.
Hands on experience coordinating specialty vendors and experts (e.g., adjusters, appraisers, restoration firms, legal counsel).
History of successfully handling large loss or emotionally sensitive claims with professionalism and discretion.
Proven collaboration with brokers, underwriters, and internal partners to drive alignment and outcomes.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, claim adjusters, defense counsel, and others.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (primary Excel, Word, and Outlook) with the ability to learn new systems.
Must have the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and pay strict attention to detail.
Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills in handling large volumes of work.
Working knowledge of the laws and regulations associated with HIPAA and willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality.
