Role Overview
- Support project teams with cost and schedule risk analysis for energy EPC projects
- Develop and maintain risk registers, including identification, scoring, and updates
- Facilitate risk workshops with engineering, project management, construction, and supply chain
- Perform quantitative risk analysis (QRA) using standard tools (cost & schedule)
- Review project estimates, schedules, and execution plans to identify risk drivers
- Track contingency usage, escalation exposure, and allowance changes
- Provide clear summaries of risks, impacts, and recommended mitigation actions
- Prepare risk reports for monthly project reviews and management presentations
- Support change management by validating risk impacts tied to scope changes
- Assist with development of trend logs, early warnings, and risk-based forecasts
- Coordinate with estimating, planning, cost control, and construction teams to keep risk data current
Requirements
- 7+ years in Project Controls, Risk, or Cost/Schedule roles within Energy or EPC
- Experience on upstream, downstream, petrochemical, or major capital projects
- Strong understanding of EPC execution, from FEED through construction
- Proficiency with risk analysis tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, Safran, etc.)
- Working knowledge of estimating, planning, cost control, and change management processes
- Ability to run workshops, capture risks, and communicate findings clearly
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Able to work with multi-disciplinary teams and contractors
Preferred
- Experience on projects $200MM–$10B+
- Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations
- Experience in both owner and EPC environments
