Assisting in the preparation of design packages, including:
Basic schematic diagrams
Electrical layouts and distribution drawings
Lighting layouts (interior and exterior)
Equipment room layouts and schedules
Supporting the creation of technical documents, including concept reports, meeting minutes, specifications, and contract administration materials
Participating in site visits or surveys with senior staff to document existing field conditions
Assisting with electrical calculations under the guidance of engineers (e.g., load summaries, voltage drop, equipment selection)
Gathering equipment information from suppliers and helping with preliminary equipment selections
Attending team or site meetings with senior designers or engineers to observe project discussions and coordination
Contributing to general design tasks and providing support to the engineering team as needed

Enrollment in an Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology program
Interest in electrical design for buildings, infrastructure, or industrial facilities
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools and processes
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project coordinators
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic understanding of AutoCAD is an asset; interest in learning REVIT is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
