Facilitate and lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for mechanical equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
Identify and lead the adoption of innovative technologies, including the assessment of new equipment, vendors, and solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
Own Enbridge engineering standards and specifications to ensure compliance, safety, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
Recommend predictive and preventive maintenance practices based on Asset Health and Reliability Engineering (AHRE) analysis to ensure reliable operation and improve overall equipment efficiency.
Collaborate with regional staff to provide engineering expertise and solutions for operational issues, such as failure analyses and incident investigations, and offer recommendations to improve reliability and ensure safe operations.
Identify systemwide reliability and performance improvement opportunities, conduct gap analyses, identify reliability risks and work with stakeholders to determine and implement solutions.
Provide engineering expertise throughout project life cycle on capital projects or programs.
Provide mentoring and training for members within Operations Engineering.
Requirements
Completion of a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA if located in Alberta.
Registered as a PE in the US if located in the US.
A minimum of six years of experience in mechanical engineering roles in the oil and gas industry.
Experience with a range of mechanical equipment types (e.g., mainline pumps, valves, HVAC) is preferred.
VCAT-II or VCAT-III Vibration Analyst certifications is an asset.
Knowledgeable with regulatory and industry codes/standards for the oil and gas industry in the US and Canada.
Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Requires a valid passport to travel and work between the US and Canada.
