Provide direct legal counsel and representation to refugees and other immigrants as needed
Legally screen and advise clients regarding immigration benefits and remedies available under the INA, CFR, and relevant government agency policies
Represent an appropriate case load as determined by client demands under the supervision of the Managing Attorney
Conduct legal research, prepare immigration paperwork, and write responses to Requests for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny, and Notice of Intent to Review correspondence
Represent clients in person at USCIS interviews and possible “re-interviews”
Zealously advocate for clients with relevant government actors
Comply with WRC ILS best practice case management rules, policies and procedures and attorney ethics under the oversight of the Managing Attorney
Participate in immigration law trainings relevant to experience and needed expertise
Requirements

Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is required
Cross-cultural experience including cross-cultural communication skills and working with interpreters
Excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility to work in a frequently changing environment
An attorney (J.D.) licensed to practice law in the United States
