Developing and delivering control system solutions for strategic customers
Leading design and software engineering activities supporting the successful implementation of large and/or multisite building automation projects
Collaborating with Project Managers and Application Engineers to ensure consistency in engineering standards and project delivery across Strategic Account projects
Producing engineering deliverables including submittal packages, drawings, system architecture, database generation, graphics development, system configuration, and programming
Supporting Application Engineers, Field Engineers, and Startup Technicians during troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning phases
Developing and refining engineering processes, standards, and documentation to improve efficiency and quality
Providing cross-functional support to Sales, Service, and Project teams
Engaging directly with customers to enhance their experience with DCES.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 8+ years of directly related experience as an Applications Engineer or Senior Automation Technician
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Building Automation System (BAS) industry
Expertise with BAS tools including Niagara Framework, LonWorks, and BACnet
Ability to work independently from a home office
Strong self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of building, electrical, and mechanical codes and standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Smartsheet, and scheduling tools
Valid passport with ability to travel up to 80%
Experience integrating software tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, and Visio
Ability to design and construct Building Management System (BMS) drawing packages
Strong knowledge of networking, system configuration, and troubleshooting
Niagara AX and N4 Tridium Certification
Experience interfacing Niagara Servers with multiple JACE topologies
Deep understanding of HVAC applications, building services operations, and automated controls theory
Ability to use electronic test equipment (volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes)
Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to build lasting customer relationships.
