Support device installations across FAA facilities as part of the FAA Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) Program.
Ensure each site is install-ready, technically compliant, and properly documented prior to and during installation.
Close coordination among Program Management, Engineering Services, Technical Operations, vendors, and site personnel to ensure compliance with FAA standards and safe continuity of air traffic operations.
Review equipment placement, telecommunications services, radio interfaces, legal recording connections, and workstation configurations.
Validate Vendor Site Survey Worksheets (SSWs), Site Survey Reports (SSRs), and Site Installation Plans (SIPs) for accuracy and completeness.
Provide on-site technical oversight during installation and ensure installations meet FAA compliance and documentation requirements.
Requirements
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (or equivalent military or field experience).
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as an electronics technician supporting complex communications, radar, or mission-critical systems.
Demonstrated experience performing power, cabling, and interconnect verification in operational environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in safety-critical environments.
Proficiency using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, cable testers, continuity testers).
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
