Claims Consultant – Finance

Role Overview

• Handling and resolving complex, highly specialized claims through investigation, evaluation and disposition
• Makes appropriate recommendations to management on coverage and settlement of claims
• Reviews and processes highly complex large loss claims that generally settle over $200,000 often involving litigation
• Documents clearly and concisely all relevant activity on assigned files and makes recommendations for additional activity as appropriate
• Communicates as needed with underwriting business partners regarding claims trends and legal climate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or equivalent experience degree required
• JD may be required depending on the needs and requirements of a business unit
• 5+ years of progressively more complex, specialized claims handling experience
• Desired Experience working on complex Financial Institution Claims
