Lead Power Generation Field Service Technician

Role Overview

• Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
• Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
• Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
• Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
• Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
• Occasional driving required

Requirements

• years of previous experience as a technician
• Skilled in diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Ability to maintain open communication with management regarding job status, updates, and changes
• Experience using low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
• Capable of determining corrective action through inspection of failed parts
• Experience ordering replacement parts and services efficiently
• Proficient in electrical and mechanical repairs to engines, generators, or components
• Experience performing startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
• Physically capable of handling the demands of technician roles which may include heavy lifting and working in extreme temperatures
