Assisting with transportation planning and traffic operations analyses, including traffic impact studies for land development projects
Corridor and network planning
Transportation master plan research and support
Operational analysis, including exposure to various micro simulation tools
Helping prepare technical reports, figures, and presentations under the guidance of senior engineers and technologists
Developing basic drawings with support and direction of senior engineers and technologists
Supporting project coordination tasks such as scheduling, data collection, documentation, and quality checks
Participating in meetings and presentations with internal team members and occasionally with municipal partners (with support and mentorship)
Contributing to the positive, collaborative team culture by bringing curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
Requirements
A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
Interest in developing skills in transportation planning, traffic operations, and transportation design
Familiarity with (or interest in learning) traffic and transportation software such as Synchro, VISSIM, VISUM, or EMME
Basic knowledge on design software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or Civil 3D
Strong communication skills, including technical writing and presenting information clearly
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
A collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills focused on client service and teamwork
Valid driver’s license is required for occasional site visits
Membership or interest in joining ITE Canada is considered an asset
