About this role
Role Overview
Perform construction site monitoring for transportation infrastructure (bridges and structures, pavement/road engineering, electrotechnical systems) according to Client requirements to ensure the works meet project objectives safely.
Attend site meetings.
Carry out qualitative and quantitative inspections of the works and their implementation.
Measure completed works, compile quantities and prepare required documents for payment requests, and write daily reports.
Coordinate field monitoring activities with our teams.
Assist the project manager with change management, preparation of change orders and documenting works through memos.
Draft notices.
Occasionally assist with the preparation of plans, specifications and project estimates.
Perform any other tasks related to the position.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring or performing work on bridges and structures and/or in infrastructure and pavements.
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Completion of the Construction Site Safety course (ASP).
Knowledge of the standards and procedures of the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec is an asset.
Hold a Class 5 driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
