Facilitates the EEEC’s interests and activities for Special projects under GSS HUB.
Engaging with the proposals team within Special projects.
Supporting proposals, design/prototype new integrated solutions and delivery for Special projects that address customer needs with optimal software placement and devising new solutions.
Design, optimize, and troubleshoot process units using simulation, control, and data analytics to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in operations.
Responsible for Engineering and project activities.
Develop, calibrate, and maintain steady-state and dynamic process models using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent simulation software.
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP.21) and AspenTech inmation platforms to ensure high availability, reliability, and seamless data flow.
Configure and manage data acquisition from DCS, PLC, SCADA, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Oversee historian database management, including sizing, backups, archival policies, and restoration procedures for Aspen IP.21.
Create and manage tags, units, queries, and custom logic in Aspen IP.21 using SQL-based applications and IP.21 APIs.
Monitor historian data quality, system loads, and connector reliability.
Design and automate operational reports: Production performance, Shift reports, Loss and downtime analysis, KPI dashboards.
Provide L1/L2 support for Aspen IP.21 and inmation systems.
Manage role-based access control, certificates, secure communication, and firewall requirements.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of architectures, configurations, data flows, scripting logic, namespaces, and integration topologies for both platforms.
Requirements
4+ years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, or administering Aspen IP.21.
2+ years of experience working with AspenTech inmation (Industrial DataOps / Unified Namespace platform).
