Role Overview
Provide work direction, mentoring, and strategic oversight to a team of research analysts and external affairs professionals; partner closely with other senior leaders to ensure alignment with enterprise risk considerations
Direct and synthesize research related to Prime’s reputation, industry dynamics, and policy environment, and oversee the development of the corporate and issue messaging and External Affairs’ reputation benchmarking framework and metrics reporting
Translate research and internal and client intelligence into decision-ready guidance, issue playbooks, and executive-level frameworks that support consistent and effective External Affairs engagement, providing real-time guidance and direction to ensure External Affairs activities, messaging and public positioning remain aligned with enterprise reputation and policy strategy
Serve as a strategic counselor to senior executives and cross-functional leaders, aligning reputation strategy and intelligence with the company’s overall business and policy objectives
Own and evolve Prime’s enterprise reputation and narrative framework, including stakeholder expectations, trust drivers, core messages, tone and response principles, escalation thresholds, and decision criteria used across External Affairs teams
Support the buildout of a discrete sub-function focused on gathering and analyzing insights and translating intelligence into a reputation and advocacy strategy, with responsibility for cross-functional coordination, business impact assessment, and communication regarding reputational and political threats in alignment with client-facing teams and product/model innovation activity
Lead early-warning, landscape-scanning, and real-time reporting across legislative, regulatory, policy, market, competitive, and media developments, including assessment of potential implications and likelihood of impact, issue diagnosis, reputational risk assessment, and scenario analysis to inform enterprise-level prioritization, positioning, and response/preparedness
Advance Prime’s external thought leadership and policy communication in key forums and oversee proactive communications and crisis preparedness to strengthen reputation and stakeholder confidence
Requirements
Bachelors degree in communications, public affairs, public policy, political science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; High school diploma or GED required
15 years of work experience in reputation strategy, strategic intelligence, research or corporate affairs
10 years of leadership/people management experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive change
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, consultative and influencing skills.
