Participates in a formal 12-month training program to develop skills to successfully support the engineering aspects of operating landfill.
Develops an understanding of all permits governing construction and operation of landfill disposal sites.
Works with consulting firms preparing regulatory documents for adherence to regulatory requirements.
Assists senior WM engineers on construction projects.
Ensures compliance with permits working alongside operation teams.
Assists in preparation or review of engineering, monitoring and environmental reports.
Works with landfill managers to formulate short
and long-term goals.
Interacts with state and local agencies for efficient and effective compliance.
