Role Overview

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by weighing, mixing, chopping, and peeling food items
• Safely uses utensils including knives
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
• Bakes, roasts, and uses various cooking methods on foods
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines
• Properly stores food adhering to safety policies
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including sanitation

Requirements

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Physical demands including lifting, bending, and extended walking or standing
• This role may also require uniforms and/or PPE
