Review and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
Perform detailed material take-offs using both manual and digital methods, ensuring all quantities are accurately measured and recorded.
Prepare comprehensive take-off quantities and estimates for materials, and production requirements, ensuring all calculations are precise and well-documented.
Collaborate with project managers and other internal teams to clarify project details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure estimates align with project goals and delivery timelines.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, supporting documents, and correspondence related to each project.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to optimize project budgets.
Update estimates as scope or specifications change, communicating adjustments promptly to relevant stakeholders.
Support the preparation and submission of bids and proposals as required.
Requirements
Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes for custom products.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating software (e.g., Excel, SalesForce, On Screen Takeoff) is preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with project managers, and team members
Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work under deadlines.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
