Responsible for project support and technical direction of the mechanical effort in Oil & Gas projects including Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Pipeline Installation, Natural Gas Processing Plants, Central Gathering Facilities, and CO2 Capture
Responsible for working directly with fellow members of the mechanical engineering team & mechanical design team for project execution support
Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning)
Review & preparation of line lists & equipment lists
Review of project isometrics to ensure compliance with project requirements set forth by the client
Ability to effectively communicate within project team to resolve project issues
Work with Mechanical Engineering team for successful execution of projects while continuing to learn and develop
Work directly with Project Managers for successful execution of projects while maintaining an in-depth understanding of project scope, schedule & budget.
Requirements
BSME with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US-based ABET-accredited program
In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and Piping systems
5+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream
Working knowledge of gas plants and gas processing preferred
Knowledge of ANSI/ASTM B31.4, B31.3 and B31.8 Standards
Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving project execution excellence
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines
Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems
Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible
