Responsible for the oversight and technical direction of the mechanical effort on Oil & Gas projects including: Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Pipeline Installation, Natural Gas Processing Plants, Central Gathering Facilities, CO2 Capture
Responsible for working directly with customers, interfacing with the commercial sales team, providing oversight and direction to others within the project team.
Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning).
Ability and willingness to mentor and lead junior staff on technical/design issues of mechanical engineering.
Review & preparation of technical memos, reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
Review & preparation of technical proposals and presentations.
Review of piping isometrics to ensure they are constructible and comply with project specifications.
Ability to effectively communicate within project team to resolve project issues.
Work directly with Project Managers for successful execution of projects while maintaining an in-depth understanding of project scope, schedule & budget.
Requirements
BSME with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program
In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and Piping systems.
10+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream.
Working knowledge of gas plants and gas processing preferred.
Knowledge of ANSI/ASTM B31.4, B31.3 and B31.8 Standards.
Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving project execution excellence.
High attention to detail and quality.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems.
Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
