This position is primarily responsible for administration and oversight of the general services functions, activities, and programs within the Department of Corrections including Central Office building management, records management, public records production, mailroom operations, surplus operations, parking, and Central Office employee identification cards.
Serve as the liaison to the Department of Management services for building maintenance, janitorial services and Department-initiated facility improvement projects.
Oversee and/or manage space utilization projects for all Central Office program areas.
Manage the public records team overseeing all aspect of public records production in compliance with all Florida statutes and rules.
Manage the records management team overseeing all aspects of a records management program in compliance with all Florida statutes and rules.
Manage and execute all Central Office Emergency Preparedness procedures and responses.
Requirements
Completion of a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and (2) years of general services experience or (6) years of general services experience or progressive professional experience.
Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) required or willingness to obtain within one year of employment as a condition of employment.
Experience leading and managing a professional team with 5 or more members.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work with internal and external partners to achieve desired outcomes.
