About this role
Role Overview
Act as liaison to accounting departments to resolve accounting issues and manage year-end process
Track and maintain online database of grants submitted, awarded, rejected, etc.
Work with PIs to provide fund management and make necessary budgetary changes
Approve purchasing documents and provide guidance to purchasing staff on expenditures according to specific grant policies
Update and forecast grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios
Assist with timely implementation of contracts and subcontracts by managing processes
Create, address, and process correspondence of moderate complexity with granting agencies
Obtain signatures and forward grant financial status reports to PI and senior leadership
Assist with monitoring invoices for outgoing subawards
Coordinate necessary support with internal and external requests for grant-related information
Assist with pre-award activities including coordination of proposal submission, development of proposal budgets, monitoring report due dates
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
Relevant Experience (2 Years)
Knowledge of SUBS system
Knowledge of agency guidelines
Skills: Accounting Processes, Adobe Acrobat, Analytical Thinking, Computerized Accounting, Grant Administration, Grants Accounting, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Workday Software
Must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily
