Role Overview
- function as a technical resource for Carolinas Dispatchable Generation Stations
- serve as Engineer of Record for Electrical Systems and Equipment
- provide technical support for Equipment Inspection, Testing, and Troubleshooting
- provide support for Project Implementation teams
- participate in field inspections and testing activities
- drive consistency and share best practices across the operating fleet
- establish technical requirements for design modifications
- drive the equipment reliability process
- offer ideas to reduce costs while maintaining quality of engineered solutions
- serve as technical liaison for complex issues
- perform electrical engineering activities including technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- 8 years related work experience
- Professional Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 10 years related work experience preferred
- Skilled in engineering theories and principles
- Skilled in researching engineering and design issues
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in project management principles
- Experience in the utility industry preferred
- Experience with Generation Electrical Distribution Systems preferred
- Experience with Equipment Reliability Programs preferred
