Under the general direction of the Director, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, this position will provide support to the Compliance Specialist for overall compliance of the Company’s North American Electric Reliability Corporation ("NERC") regulatory compliance programs.
Provide support in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, training programs, evidence, and program requirements to comply with all regulatory requirements including those promulgated by NERC.
Supports NERC compliance activities by maintaining schedules, training documentation, evidence, and records.
Maintains an understanding of NERC Reliability Standards for both the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and the Operations and Planning (O&P) Standards.
Supports in monitoring changes in the NERC Reliability Standards and assists with the development, implementation, or updates to the Company’s policies and procedures resulting from these changes.
Maintains schedule and associated notifications, including reminder or workflow system(s) to ensure groups meet all deadlines and requirements when making self-reports, self-certifications, mitigation plans, and new or revised standards.
Participates in regulatory compliance team meetings and maintains records of same.
Works collaboratively with various NERC subject matter experts (SMEs) to support procedure and process development for NERC standards.
Works cooperatively with applicable business units to develop training programs in support of the Compliance Program including the NERC Reliability Standards.
Supports in document development, including NERC Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs), and providing evidence for internal assessments and external engagements such as audits, certifications and spot-checks.
Responsible for working with the SMEs to support the necessary plans for audit preparation and NERC CIP mitigation activities.
Provides support for internal and external audits as they arise.
