Responsible for the structural analysis and design of standard products to be quoted and fabricated by the Valmont Utility Division
Process quotations and orders and provide general design engineering support for drafting and sales
Complete engineering designs to meet project requirements as defined by customers
Plan and monitor workflow of design activities to meet milestone dates for projects assigned
Consult with senior engineers to ensure customer specifications are met and designs are feasible for manufacturing
Design product lines that may include structures that support electrical power transmission lines and distribution structures

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field with 0-2 years of experience
Technical competence in structural engineering
Strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines
Engineer-in-Training Certificate (highly qualified candidates)
CAD skills (highly qualified candidates)
Knowledge or understanding of computer programming (highly qualified candidates)
