Own execution of supplier-driven work scopes—define requirements, timelines, and acceptance criteria; track progress; manage risks; and lead corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
Conduct monthly on-site supplier visits to perform technical oversight, verify production readiness, review traveler/route cards, and ensure configuration control and documentation integrity.
Witness periodic in-process and final source inspections; witness critical tests; verify objective evidence; and disposition nonconformances (NCRs).
Ensure supplier adherence to contract requirements and applicable DOE/NRC regs (e.g., 10 CFR 50 App B).
Interpret and flow down contract requirements and FAR clauses; ensure quality, technical, and deliverable compliance; support proposal reviews, change orders, and subcontract management.
Develop and approve plans, procedures, inspection/test plans, acceptance criteria, and verification matrices; maintain requirements traceability and design records.
Support causal analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA); ensure closure with evidence.
Guide communication between the customer (design authority), partners, and suppliers, ensuring communication of technical requirements, design intent, and compliance expectations.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, supply chain, legal/contracts, and program management; provide clear status reporting, risks, and mitigations to leadership and customers.
Identify opportunities to improve supplier processes, strengthen first-pass yield, and reduce lifecycle cost while maintaining compliance and safety.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in engineering roles (project, manufacturing, or quality) within nuclear, defense, or regulated industries.
Experience with supplier quality or supply chain engineering, including audits, inspections, and production oversight
Experience with nuclear quality standards (e.g., ASME NQA-1) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B or comparable).
Maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Willingness to travel monthly for supplier oversight (approximately 25–40%).
Experience with project tools.
