Performs audits of processes and manufactured products to ensure they meet established quality requirements.
Accepts or rejects materials, parts, components, or finished products.
Ensures that all parts produced in the department have been manufactured using established procedures and that they meet the Quality System’s acceptance parameters.
Verifies, audits, and conducts first-piece production tests to determine whether they comply with established quality requirements and specifications.
Has responsibility and authority to stop the manufacturing, packing, and shipping processes—after notifying the area Facilitator and others as applicable—if the process is not in control or not conforming to established parameters.
Requirements
High school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position within an industrial manufacturing environment, or a Technical Degree in a related field.
One (1) to three (3) years of prior experience in high-volume manufacturing processes, preferably in electrical or electronic production.
Technical and practical knowledge in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
Math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
Basic reading, writing, comprehension, and interpretation skills in English and Spanish for use in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting documentation.
Technical and practical experience with measurement equipment/tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, pin gauges, and others (preferred).
Technical and practical knowledge of sampling and inspection plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Pareto analysis, MS 105E, and related methods (preferred).
Basic computer knowledge, familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (preferred).
