Support the global supply chain of multiple product lines specific to a Group of Business Units to help increase efficiencies and decrease costs.
Provide support, guidance and strategic direction to Customers within the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Transportation, work closely with Business Units throughout the Organization, acting as a partner to do analytical work as it pertains to transportation to provide accurate and timely data to help Leaders make informed decisions.
Develop and maintain executive dashboards providing Leadership visibility into transportation performance across Parcel, LTL, and TL modes, including cost per shipment, on-time delivery, claims, and carrier performance metrics.
Serve as a key contributor in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of the Transportation Management System (TMS), ensuring accurate rating, routing, freight audit visibility, and shipment tracking.
Design and implement processes to gather, validate, and manage transportation data across Parcel, LTL, and TL carriers to improve reporting accuracy and decision-making.
Perform ongoing analysis of freight spend (Parcel, LTL, TL), mode selection, carrier performance, accessorial charges, back orders, and delivery lead times to identify cost savings and service improvement opportunities.
Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to transportation execution, TMS utilization, freight audit processes, and global trade compliance.
Collaborate with Finance teams to ensure accurate freight accruals, vendor invoice reconciliation, freight audit resolution, and timely payment of carrier invoices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field is highly desired
Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. purchasing and inventory management, warehousing and transportation)
Proficiency in computer databases, statistics applications and logistics programs with the ability to do analysis is desired
Experience in Power-BI is highly desired
Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Outstanding written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization and beyond
