Role Overview
- Lead development of an interactive dispatch mapping tool
- Design intuitive editing workflows and UI interactions
- Integrate simulation outputs and performance metrics into the mapping tool
- Contribute production-quality code to the Dispatch codebase
- Collaborate with teammates to translate operational questions into optimization studies
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions
Requirements
- Experience building interactive tools or visualization interfaces (web or desktop)
- Coursework or experience in mapping, spatial systems, or network modeling
- Familiarity with spatial data and mapping concepts is a plus
- Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity
- Comfort working in a Linux environment
- Experience with version control (git) and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly
