Perform 3D thermal/fluid CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations at the system, subsystem, and component levels of an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) using commercial CFD software
Work with component and system engineers and provide technical guidance
Develop and apply CFD methods to support product development and virtual test signoff
Requirements
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
A strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and combustion
2+ years minimum experience in thermal/fluid CFD simulation. Multiphysics modeling preferred
Proficient in common computer languages: Java, Python, shell script, MATLAB, etc.
Self-directed, confident and resilient individual with excellent communication skills.
Excellent work planning and issue resolution skills
Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field (even better)
2+ years plus experience in automotive ICE or vehicle CFD applications (even better)
Proficient in the use of analytical tools including STAR-CCM+, CONVERGE, Simerics, GT-SUITE, AMEsim, etc. (even better)
Vibe coding and ML experience (even better)
