Serve as a technical and structural task lead for bridge projects, coordinating design tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
Lead and support complex bridge analysis and design efforts, including the use of finite element modeling and advanced bridge analysis tools.
Drive and oversee strategic internal initiatives focused on advancing bridge technologies, digital delivery, and automation.
Identify, prioritize, and support the development of technology initiatives involving software development, BIM workflows, automation, AI, and machine learning to improve project efficiency and resource utilization.
Collaborate with Bridge Practice Leadership, Bridge Technology/Software teams, engineers, Consulting and Technology Solutions, IT, and other internal groups to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of technology strategies.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of BIM strategies across the full bridge life cycle, supporting digital information management and data-driven design and maintenance approaches.
Perform technical reviews and quality checks to verify compliance with design standards, quality requirements, and applicable codes.
Monitor adherence to QA/QC procedures and project deadlines in coordination with quality assurance teams.
Support and oversee project-specific safety and Health and Safety Plan requirements.
Develop, maintain, and promote firm-wide work standards and best practices related to bridge design, technology, and digital delivery.
Provide regular status updates on technical progress and project delivery to the Structural Department Manager.
Support proposal development efforts by providing technical input and documentation, as needed.
Maintain awareness of emerging technical developments, tools, and industry trends related to bridge engineering and technology.
May support or lead internal training or educational courses to advance technical knowledge within the organization.
Mentor, coach, and guide engineers and technical staff, supporting career development and strengthening firm-wide technical capabilities.
Assist in identifying and developing technical resources and talent within areas of subject matter expertise.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
