Responsible for Mechanical Nuclear Island Systems (MNI) engineering activities that support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design
Overall ownership of mechanical design for the Nuclear Boiler (B21), Isolation Condenser (E52) and Fine Motion Control Rod Drive (G12) Systems
Construction support of the DNNP-1 SMR currently under construction by OPG
Procurement support of the DNNP-1 project for assigned systems
Conduct component and product integration
Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
Manage interface between components and execution organizations
Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
Requirements
8 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering within the nuclear industry for role in Canada
Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.eng) for roles in Canada
Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of BWR nuclear experience) for roles in USA
Strong preference for candidate who could relocate to Wilmington, NC
