Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base
Expected to own the technical performance of multiple suppliers so supplier travel will be frequent (25-50%)
Actively leads delivery problem solving while collaborating with external supplier teams and internal GE fulfillments, commercial, quality team members
Drives multiple delivery and producibility improvement projects
Guides and influences suppliers’ performance based on developing manufacturing expertise
Partners with commercial owners to ensure supplier selection provides desired value
Supports source changes as needed while problem solving and supporting suppliers
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing
At least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Management
Experience programming or mechanically supporting fabrication or traditional and/or non-traditional machining methods
Experience using evidence based analytical thinking to verify the relationships between issues and develop practical solutions
Experience leading and participating in improvement projects and problem-solving efforts
Sourcing, Shop Operations, or Production Control expertise
Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace or Automotive
