About this role
Role Overview
Develop and implement 3–5 year portfolio strategies for Shoulder Reconstruction and Sports Medicine, ensuring alignment with global direction and effective local market adaptation.
Partner with sales teams to design and execute launch plans, including positioning, pricing, promotions, and targeting.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Medical Education, RA, CA, Legal, Finance) to drive cohesive execution of marketing plans and budgets.
Conduct regular business reviews to analyze sales performance, identify market trends, opportunities, and gaps.
Consolidate and communicate National needs to global marketing teams for new product planning.
Facilitate sharing of best practices, success cases, and market learnings across Canadian Market.
Build strong partnerships with surgeons, KOLs, and sales network to understand unmet clinical needs and strengthen market presence.
Participate in conferences, workshops, and live surgeries to gather insights and promote DePuy Synthes solutions.
Collaborate with Finance and sales teams to develop accurate forecasts and inventory plans, minimizing E&O risk.
Identify growth drivers and risks to achieve sustained business performance.
Design and deliver internal training programs to enhance sales effectiveness and product expertise.
Partner with Medical Education to plan and execute HCP training programs aligned with strategic objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field is required.
Minimum of 6 years experience in sales or marketing is required.
Experience in Sports Medicine, Extremities, or Shoulder Reconstruction is preferred.
Demonstrated experience engaging KOLs and sales network across Canada.
Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills with demonstrated experience building forecasts and managing budgets.
Experience with product launches, clinician education programs and lifecycle management.
Exposure to RFP / tender processes and working with strategic accounts/GPOs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage surgeons, clinical teams and internal stakeholders.
Strong ability in sales training, field execution, and KOL engagement.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to market development and multi-channel promotion.
Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning in Sports Medicine or related fields.
Thrives in a fast-paced, matrix organization with regional and global interfaces.
Bilingual in English and French considered an asset.
Ability to travel up to 30% (primarily within Canada).
