Supporting the effective management and execution of capital and improvement projects for our Engineering Plastics Compounding plant.
Assisting in the development of the Asset Development Plan (ADP) and execution of the plant’s Capital Plan from conception through commissioning to closeout.
Finding opportunities to improve plant infrastructure, optimize the lifecycle of production equipment and machinery, and enhance efficiency, reliability and safety while adhering to industry standards and BASF regulations and policies.
Ensuring compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements and promote a safe working environment for project execution.
Coordinating engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction, testing and handover activities.
Applying technical expertise to support design, installation and maintenance.
Identifying opportunities and providing scope for plant optimization, efficiency enhancement, cost reduction and technological advancement.
Executing of capital projects safely and within budget / timeline from cradle to grave.
Driving and implementing MOCs (Management of Change) and contributing to plant BHA (PHA/HAZOP) clean sheet and revalidation studies with corrective action execution.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, other)
3-5 years of professional experience in a chemical or related manufacturing operation with 2+ years in Project Engineering/Management discipline.
Understanding of plastics compounding processes and associated machinery preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of and proven application of RAGAGEP and Project Management methodologies.
Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
Proficiency with SAP PPM (CMMS preferred).
Understanding and application of LEAN Six Sigma methodologies and practices preferred.
