Works with internal and external stakeholders on the development of new and optimization of existing automation and material handling/storage equipment to continuously improve material flow.
Provides technical troubleshooting to logistics equipment as appropriate to ensure optimum operational performance.
Leads projects to implement automation and material handling/storage equipment to improve material flow.
Lead business cases for new technologies, cost estimates and project calculations.
Contributes to the development of the material handling/storage equipment strategic roadmap.
Leads the technical design for Logistics automation and other material handling/storage equipment.
Contacts potential suppliers and recommends the final technical decision.
Troubleshoots hardware and/or software issues on automation equipment.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, material flow/storage, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial and Electrical Engineering preferred.
5+ years’ experience in layout and material flow planning and material handling/storage equipment.
3+ years of experience with Automation and Robotics in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
Ability to prioritize and schedule both daily and project tasks.
Working knowledge of ISO-9000, IATF 16949 and ISO-14000 standards and requirements.
