Spotify is the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, and they are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to help build and scale their advertising platform. This role involves owning the Ads Data Store, ensuring data integrity and accessibility, and collaborating with various teams to support the growth of Spotify Advertising.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the strategy and roadmap for the Ads Data Store, establishing a scalable, authoritative system of record that underpins critical commercial workflows
- Lead the architectural evolution of the Ads Data Store, partnering with Engineering to design scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data foundations
- Design and govern canonical data models, establishing durable schemas that support evolving pricing, packaging, and deal constructs
- Establish system boundaries and data contracts between booking systems, serving systems, and downstream consumers (forecasting, billing, pacing, reporting, etc)
- Define standards for data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and monitoring, ensuring booking data integrity across operational and financial workflows
- Shape scalable access patterns for internal consumers (e.g., governed datasets, APIs, downstream feeds), improving usability and developer experience
- Prioritize platform investments that balance technical sustainability with measurable business impact
- Act as the single-threaded owner for booking data integrity, driving clarity, accountability, and long-term scalability across the Ads ecosystem
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading technically complex advertising or data platform products, with a demonstrated track record of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures and distributed data systems, and can reason about tradeoffs in scalable data platform design
- Experience defining canonical data models and managing schema evolution across integrated systems
- Think in systems, not features — design durable foundations that scale with product complexity and organizational growth
- Balance technical rigor with business impact, prioritizing investments that improve data integrity, usability, and long-term sustainability
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and leading cross-functional platform initiatives
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Leverage AI tools to augment product discovery, technical reasoning, and communication, demonstrating discernment in when to rely on automation and when to apply deeper domain expertise
- Experience supporting commercial or sales systems (e.g., CRM, order management, billing, revenue workflows)
