The Software Engineer, HR Applications will support, maintain, and enhance HR technology platforms, with a primary focus on Workday.
Provide L2/L3 production support for Workday and related HR applications: incident triage, root-cause analysis, break/fix, and preventive actions.
Configure and enhance Workday business processes, security, calculated fields, condition rules, notifications, and data validation (based on access/role).
Partner with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver enhancements and process improvements.
Build and maintain Workday reports/dashboards; support operational and compliance reporting needs.
Write and maintain technical documentation (runbooks, SOPs, design notes, support guides).
Requirements
4+ years of experience supporting Workday in a production environment (HR/HRIS application support, enhancements, and troubleshooting).
Experience supporting one or more Workday functional areas such as HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll (or Payroll interfaces), Compensation, Security, Reporting.
Hands-on experience with system support processes (incident/problem/change management) and structured troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of data flows, integrations, and enterprise application ecosystems.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions; strong written/verbal communication skills.
