Role Overview
- independently performs audits of taxpayers and businesses in a variety of industries
- determines tax compliance as it relates to Florida statutes
- examines and analyzes accounting systems of taxpayers
- computes tax assessments or refund adjustments
- prepares detailed reports of audit results
- independently conducts conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives
Requirements
- Four years of accounting or auditing experience at a paraprofessional level.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three accounting courses or two accounting courses and one tax course.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Preference will be given to candidates with an accounting degree.
