Role Overview
Assist in the execution of the Department of Financial Services’ responsibilities for the Florida PALM Project.
Serve as a state subject matter expert for planning and coordinating testing activities to ensure the Project and stakeholder agency business systems are prepared for the transition to Florida PALM.
Exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance, taking direction from the Project’s Cutover and Deployment and Testing Architect.
Support State agency and enterprise partner testing activities for the implementation of the State’s financial management solution (i.e., Florida PALM).
Manage all deadlines in an organized manner to ensure timely completion of fully developed work products.
Prepare presentation materials and lead meetings with DFS partners, divisions, state agencies and other stakeholders.
Review and provide expert input on Project Deliverables where requested.
Actively participate in agency touch points to address concerns and questions related to cutover and deployment.
Requirements
Four (4) years of experience performing system release and cutover activities (planning, testing, deploying) for a large enterprise system (e.g., FLAIR, Florida PALM, or another enterprise system).
Two (2) years of experience assisting trouble shoot and resolving technical and functional issues with integrations between business systems, with at least one of those systems being a large enterprise system.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or four (4) years of relevant experience in discipline.
Two (2) years of experience developing and managing a cutover checklist for a large system deployment.
Experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, testing and/or implementation of financial management system(s).
Experience working in team environments (i.e., as a leader or as a member).
Experience supporting system testing, UAT, or process improvement initiatives in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment.
Experience with the Florida PALM Project assisting an agency or other entity with transition to Florida PALM and remediation of related systems.
