Role Overview
- Determine the specific needs of the projects
- Establish the scope of work
- Identify the steps and timelines for execution
- Provide engineering services related to sizing, manufacturing, refurbishment, and installation of turbines and compressors
- Perform design work and calculations required for the project
- Participate in the development of technical specifications
- Validate compliance with current standards
- Prepare technical specifications and reports
- Provide mentorship to engineers on your team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical engineering focused on steam turbine and high-pressure gas compressor engineering
- Understanding and knowledge of systems related to turbines and compressors (piping, valves, controls, etc.)
- Proficiency with simulation and calculation tools (CFD, FEA)
- Strong knowledge of industrial and/or heavy industrial environments
- Experience in the nuclear or LNG sectors is considered an asset
- Member in good standing of the Ontario Professional Engineers Association (depending on location)
