Ensuring sustainability of timber resources on Crown lands through rigorous auditing, compliance evaluation, and protocol development.
Providing critical guidance to field staff during investigations involving suspected non-compliance with forestry legislation.
Acting as a departmental expert in timber production monitoring and auditing aligned with core business objectives.
Participating in wildfire management teams to assist in protecting Alberta’s forests when required.
Requirements
Two-year diploma in Forest Technology, and 4 years related experience in timber production, forest management, auditing or compliance assurance.
Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or a related field, and 2 years of related experience in timber production, forest management, auditing or compliance assurance.
Eligibility for registration as a Regulated Forestry Professional in Alberta.
