Contribute to the end-to-end software integration and delivery of the audio subsystem within Ford's infotainment system.
Work in concert with audio subject matter experts across multidisciplinary development teams.
Involved in media playback, AM/FM/HD/DAB and SiriusXM audio tuners, chimes & alerts, voice recognition, handsfree telephony, Active Noise Control, propulsion sound enhancement and pedestrian sounders.
Problem solving including reviewing CAN, A2B and other network logs.
Daily software defect meetings for exterior supplied ECUs.
Maintain a prioritized JIRA backlog of all defects, implementation stories, and change requests for use in sprint planning.
Support program meetings as required with Design & Release or Applications engineers.
Stay up to date on audio technologies and automotive audio trends.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
5+ years of experience with automotive radio and infotainment software system design
Experience delivering radio/infotainment features using agile scrum methodology.
Experience in CAN log analysis and system level troubleshooting
Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (even better)
Knowledge of A2B digital audio bus operation and log analysis (even better)
Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills (even better)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. (even better)
Willingness to travel as needed to train and support model engineering teams (even better).
