Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering and Airworthiness Certification
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Implements Safety Assurance (SA) processes for performance monitoring and measurement, performance assessment and continuous improvement
Strengthens Applicant role and mindset, and compliance finder/Applicant separation Functional or supplier problem solving teams
Leads the Certification & Airworthiness Integration across BDS and interdependent SAW
Drives FAA, International and U.S. Military Airworthiness Authority Applicant accountability and advocacy across BDS and interdependent SAW compliance organizations
Requirements
Bachelors, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3+ years’ experience as a Manager leading engineering teams
Experience in airplane level systems integration or airplane level thinking
2+ years of leading cross functional teams or projects
