This position is responsible for performing full performance-level work under the limited supervision of the Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Division of Finance and Operations.
Position provides technical assistance to stakeholders, reviews applications and manages assigned grant programs.
Serves as personnel liaison for all staff reporting to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner including the Bureau of Contracts, Grants, and Procurement Management and other direct reports.
Responsible for preparing personnel actions, serving as timekeeper by maintaining attendance and leave records, and preparing position requisitions through the PeopleFirst System.
Serves as personal assistant to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner and acts in his/her absence in carrying out administrative duties.
Maintains calendar for supervisor by listing all appointments, meetings and conferences on electronic calendar program and arranges travel and hotel reservations and completes travel itineraries and expense vouchers.
Independently investigates subject matter, reviews, analyzes, and prepares drafts of memoranda and correspondence on behalf of the Assistant Deputy Commissioner.
Maintains tracking system for paperwork flowing in and out of the Assistant Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Requirements
Experience in customer service in an office setting
Experience in composing professional correspondence, including proofreading and editing
Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
Analytical, independent thinker, and problem solver.
Ability to work in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
