Role Overview
- Provide clear and consistent advice and counsel on general administrative matters
- Provide statutory/regulatory interpretations and guidance to assigned agency programs
- Prepare programmatic legislative analyses and legal reviews
- Prepare written legal opinions interpreting federal and state law
- Consult with and advise staff on complex legal issues
- Review policies and procedures for legal implications
- Provide oversight of agency rulemaking for assigned agency programs
- Assist in drafting administrative rules and responsible for adopting rules
Requirements
- Law degree (L.L.B. or J.D.)
- Five years of professional experience in the practice of law
- Must be a member of the Florida Bar
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of rulemaking authority and process
- Knowledge of civil and administrative proceedings and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
