The Resident Network Engineer is an integral part of our mission within the enterprise sector, providing pre and post-sales support for HPE Networking products.
You will be part of a customer account that has experienced high, steady growth over the past few years.
As a Resident Network Engineer, you will be the trusted advisor to our customers supporting our mission to help them quickly and completely adopt our portfolio of products.
This is a highly technical role, and you will develop and maintain expert-level skill sets on our products and solutions deployed within the customer's environment.
Requirements
6+ years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
JUNOS CLI experience.
Must have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (ACX, EX, QFX and Mist Wireless products)
EVPN-VXLAN Campus and Data Center Juniper switching fabric (spine-leaf) experience
Apstra experience for configuring, managing switching fabrics
Extensive Mist Wireless and Wired experience
Good verbal and written communication and documentation skills
Experience with core routing BGP, OSPF protocols.
Experience with design and/or deployment of switching and wireless products within the Customer infrastructure.
Mist Wired assurance ideal
Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences.
Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions.
Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network.
Strong customer interface and presentation skills.
Customer education – TOI’s and Lunch & Learns.
Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business
Expert-level Technical Certifications: JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, and CCIE a strong plus.
