Design, test and develop mechanical systems and various components adhering to company and industry standards such as hydronic boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and controls.
Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and product reliability through engineering best practices.
Analyze and interpret test data, making design modifications, if necessary, to meet product performance and safety requirements.
Work with designers on the detailed layout, prints, parts specifications, and bill of materials for the product.
Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with the R&D team to define product requirements, specifications, and design goals for assigned projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of activities related to product design and development.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to formulate and update product design specifications.
Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as needed and for assigned projects.
Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or product development, specifically in the design and development of boilers or similar heating systems is a plus.
Working knowledge and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide solutions.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Experience with product testing, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards, such as ASME, CSA, and ANSI.
Experience with boiler control systems, automation, and Internet of Things (IOT) technologies is a plus.
